Designer: Zane Roshe
Materials: Mixed
Project: I am interested in creating products that help injured or impaired people live better lives. One idea I had was to create a sensor that can can be worn on the hand of a blind person. I saw a TV program where the blind were training themselves by making clicking sounds and they could sense objects around them. I thought it would be easier if they had a device that could be more accurate in detecting the objects and could send a signal.
Use: Sonar device for the blind
Process: This is a work in progress and I have not finished the skin. I ordered the sensors and wiring online and assembled using soldering tools I have. I am testing the inner workings before I can make the outer shell.
